Product 1 of 2Carbon Draft · From CSV data
Carbon Draft

Three depths. CSV in, report out.

For SMBs and mid-market responding to a supplier questionnaire, preparing for assurance, or establishing a carbon baseline. Upload a CSV exported from your accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, SAP, Sage); the engine classifies every vendor and returns a typeset PDF with every factor cited. Choose your depth based on what the asking party (auditor, buyer, regulator) requires.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask.

Six questions most often asked before a purchase decision.
04.01Is the ESG Scorecard really free?+
Yes. The ESG Scorecard is a free self-assessment: fill the guided form and the PDF downloads instantly, no account and no email required. Optionally add climate details (scenario inputs, physical and transition risks, a Scope 3 estimate) and the report includes a TCFD section, also free. The figures are self-reported; when a customer or lender asks for a defensible carbon number, that is what the paid Carbon Draft computes from your actual accounting data.
04.02Which of the 15 GHG Protocol Scope 3 categories does my report cover?+
Eight categories are rendered in your report when the underlying spend or activity is present: Cat 1 (purchased goods and services), Cat 2 (capital goods, from equipment and IT spend), Cat 3 (fuel- and energy-related, derived from grid T&D losses), Cat 4 (upstream transportation, when freight spend is detected), Cat 5 (waste in operations, from waste-disposal spend), Cat 6 (business travel, when travel spend is present), Cat 7 (employee commuting, from employer-paid commuting spend only, see below), and Cat 12 (end-of-life of sold products, when you declare physical products and supply tonnage). Two additional categories have factor data in the engine but no route from customer input, so they are citable and do not appear in your report: Cat 8 (upstream leased assets, from EIA CBECS 2018) and Cat 9 (downstream transportation, from EPA Hub 2025 Table 8). Five categories are out of scope this release: Cat 10 (processing of sold products), Cat 11 (use-phase of sold products), Cat 13 (downstream leased assets), Cat 14 (franchises), Cat 15 (investments). If any uncovered category is material to your business, supplement this screening with a category-specific inventory before regulatory filing or third-party assurance.
04.03Why is my employee commuting figure lower than I expected?+
Because a spend-based method can only see commuting you paid for. Cat 7 is derived from employer-paid commuting spend: commuter benefits, transit passes and subsidies, a German Jobticket. Commuting your employees pay for themselves never appears in your ledger, so it cannot appear in this figure, and for most companies that is the majority of it. If you offer no commuting benefit at all, your Cat 7 will be zero and that is a real limitation of the method, not a measurement. A complete Cat 7 needs an employee survey of home-to-work distance and mode, which is outside a spend-based screening. The report states the basis it used.
04.04How does the Carbon Draft differ from the free ESG Scorecard?+
The free ESG Scorecard is a self-assessment: you type in your own figures (including the carbon number) and get a framework-tagged E/S/G report. The Carbon Draft is computed: you upload your accounting spend CSV and the engine calculates Scope 1/2/3 emissions with per-transaction lineage and factor citations. Start with the free scorecard for an internal picture; when a customer, lender, or questionnaire needs a defensible carbon number, that is the Carbon Draft.
04.05Can I upgrade from a Basic to an Advanced report later?+
Yes. Each report is generated independently. Re-upload your data at any time and purchase the Advanced tier; you'll receive a new PDF with the additional Scope 3 analysis and framework mapping. Basic and Advanced are separate purchases, not a subscription or upgrade path.
04.06Do you offer volume pricing for multiple reports?+
Yes. Our CPA Partner Program offers pack pricing starting at 10 reports for $1,490 ($149 each, 50% off). 25-pack is $2,975 ($119 each, 60% off); 50-pack is $4,950 ($99 each, 67% off). Ideal for accounting firms, consultancies, and multi-entity organizations. See For Accountants to apply.
04.07Is there a free trial or sample report?+
We offer a sample Disclosure-Aligned Report Carbon Draft PDF you can preview before buying. Click 'Preview Sample Report' on the Carbon Draft page. At $20 for the entry tier, we've priced it low enough that most businesses can try it without significant risk.
04.08What payment methods do you accept?+
All major credit cards, debit cards, and digital wallets via Dodo Payments. PCI-compliant, encrypted end-to-end. Receipt emailed immediately after purchase.
