Built for Indian books
The classifier knows Indian vendors by name: state discoms and Tata Power for electricity, IOCL, BPCL and HPCL for fuel, IndiGo and Air India for travel, Blue Dart and Delhivery for couriers, IGL and Mahanagar Gas for gas. Electricity uses the CEA CO2 Baseline Database v22.0 national factor for FY 2025-26, with a rupee bill turned into kWh at PFC's all-India commercial rate unless you give kWh. Petrol and diesel spend is turned into litres at PPAC's retail price for the month of each purchase. Scope 3 uses Open CEDA factors for India (CEDA by Watershed). A ledger longer than 12 months is cut to the latest complete April to March year, and SBI, HDFC and ICICI bank statements are read as well as Tally files.
CEA publishes one factor for India's unified grid and no state split, so your report uses the national factor and says so. Amounts are shown in rupees with US dollars beside them, at the exchange rate stamped on the report. Spend-based estimates carry a stated ±25-40% uncertainty band (our engineering estimate for the method), suited to questionnaires and hotspot analysis, not regulatory filings.

Which Tally report should I export?
The Day Book covering your reporting period is simplest: Display -> Day Book -> set the period -> Export -> Excel. A ledger-wise export or purchase register also works. Any sheet with a Particulars column and a Debit or Amount column is readable; the engine skips receipt rows automatically.
How are rupee amounts handled?
Tally exports carry no currency column, so the engine reads Tally files as INR, and you confirm the currency before you pay. The report shows amounts in rupees with US dollars beside them, at the exchange rate stamped on the report: for the top 20 transactions on Basic and Complete, and for every priced row on the Disclosure-Aligned report. If your books use another base currency, choose it at the confirmation step.
Which grid factor is used for Indian electricity?
The CEA CO2 Baseline Database v22.0 national weighted-average factor for FY 2025-26 (0.6751 kg CO2 per kWh), applied to every reporting year. A rupee electricity bill is turned into kWh at PFC's all-India commercial rate of Rs 9.98 per kWh, unless you give kWh. CEA publishes one factor for India's unified grid and no state split, so every state gets the national factor and the report says so. CEA publishes CO2 only, which the methodology states.
Is this enough for a customer ESG questionnaire or BRSR request?
For the carbon lines of most customer questionnaires, yes: you get a Scope 1, 2 and 3 number with every factor cited.
